The children in The Outstanding Owls had a fantastic trip to Mrs Smiths Cottage.  They were busy learning about life in the past, making a rag rug, washing clothes using a dolly tub and a mangle, dressing up in old clothes and playing in the garden.  What a way to start our new topic.  We even brought some apples back to school from her tree to make an apple crumble later in the week.  Yummy!!
